What are baseboards and trim?

Baseboards run along the bottom of your walls where they meet the floor. They hide the small expansion gap that floating floors need and protect walls from bumps and mops.

Trim includes the smaller finishing pieces, like the strips where one floor meets another.

  • New floor installs

  • Older homes

Swap dated or damaged baseboards for a fresh, modern look.

Baseboard and trim questions

Should I replace baseboards when I get new floors?

Often, yes. Old baseboards usually have to come off for the new floor, and they rarely look as good going back on.

Can you reuse my existing baseboards?

Sometimes. If they come off cleanly and you like them, ask us at your estimate.

Do you install baseboards without new flooring?

Ask us. Call 780-953-0168 or send the form and tell us what you need.
