What do removal and subfloor prep involve?
Removal and disposal means taking out old carpet, vinyl, laminate, tile or other flooring and getting rid of it, so you don't have to.
Subfloor prep and levelling means fixing what's underneath. That can include filling low spots, taking down high spots, fixing loose areas, and making it clean and flat.

Removal and subfloor prep questions
Do you remove and dispose of the old flooring?
Yes. We take out the old floor and haul it away.
Why does subfloor levelling matter?
Click floors need a flat base. On an uneven subfloor the planks flex, joints can open up, and the floor can creak or feel hollow.
Can new flooring go over old flooring?
Sometimes, if the old floor is flat, solid and the right type. Carpet always comes out. We'll tell you at your estimate.
What if you find a problem under the old floor?
We'll show you what we found and talk through the options before going further.
Does this cost extra?
It depends on the job. Every project is different, and we include it in your free estimate.
